Region +
Amazonas, Peru — Known for its high-altitude coffee farms, the Amazonas region’s climate and elevation foster slow-growing, dense beans with vibrant acidity and complex flavors.
Altitude +
1,600–1,800 Meters above sea level
Grade +
This blend is SHG and EP — SHG stands for Strictly High Grown, indicating beans grown at elevations of 1,200 meters or higher. EP, or European Preparation, means the beans are hand-sorted to remove defects.
SHG beans tend to be denser and more flavorful due to the slower growth at higher altitudes. The EP sorting ensures consistency, with fewer defective beans for a cleaner taste.
Processing +
Washed Process — this involves removing the coffee cherry’s outer layers before drying, which highlights the beans’ natural flavors with a cleaner, brighter profile.
This method brings out the coffee’s bright acidity and pure flavors, making it an ideal process for showcasing the natural lemon and brown sugar notes in this blend.
Variety +
A blend of Typica, Castillo, Bourbon, and Catimor, each varietal adds to the coffee’s complexity, from Typica’s smooth body to Castillo’s resilience and Bourbon’s natural sweetness.
This variety combination brings a balanced profile with layers of sweetness, acidity, and body, enhancing the cup’s depth and overall experience.
